Welcome To Our Website

The Cowtown Yeast Wranglers are a Calgary-based club of homebrewers and beer enthusiasts. The club was founded in 2007 and has now grown to over 130 members, making it the largest homebrew club in Canada. We hold monthly club meetings, which are held at the Wild Rose Brewery on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 pm (except in the summer months). Meeting activities vary, but typically they begin with a discussion of club business, followed by technical brewing presentations and discussion, followed by beer evaluation. Homebrewers are encouraged to bring in their own beers to share with other members and receive feedback from some of our club experts. Feel free to read our monthly club Newsletter to see what we have been up to recently.

Currently, our club members include pro brewers, certified beer judges, and many homebrewers and beer aficionados of all levels. Our members also include beginning brewers and those interested in beer and the brewing process. Come join our online discussion Forum and meet the gang. We welcome all levels of beer and brewing expertise, and the only prerequisite is that you have an interest and enthusiasm for our favourite beverage -- beer! Cheers!

Canada Malting is once again sponsoring another Malting Challenge!  This year's challenge will feature their Superior Pilsener base malt, as well as their Munich malt and Saaz hops.  This is an all grain brew, so if you haven't tried out all grain brewing yet, now would be the perfect opportunity.  Click here for more details...
