Hi Folks,

I'm a home brewer from OZ, (BJCP registered), President of a local Brew Club, know the Edmonton Brewers but didn't know about you guys. I  have visted your fair city  and while I was there I did my best to fill my beer passport at Bottlescrew Bills (think that was the name) . They promised to put me on the map of drinkers on the wall, but did they. ?  I am wondering if anyone finds themselves there, could they please check the map of OZ to see if there is a Krausen there.

Thanks in advance and good brewing.

Hello Chris -- nice to hear from a brewer down under!

Your post comes a few days late for me -- I was just at Bottlescrew Bills on Friday. Next time I am there, I will check the map for you!

Cheers!

Thanks Darren,

No rush, (you could of course use it as an excuse  - "sorry Hun, got to go out again" ) sounds like you guys are about the same size as our group Hills Brewers Guild. We are based in the North West Suburbs of Sydney. We meet once a month at several different Pizza cafes around the shire, that don't mind if we bring our own. We are scheduling a brewery visit in May , do a couple of group brew days and we have run a major comp in cooperation with the local Agricultural Society, from time to time. We had an entry from the Edmonton Brewers last time. I'm guessing it's easier to get "yeast samples: into Canada than into the US.  I'll post a couple of links in your links section, one to our club ( limited access to non-members and the another major web site which is happy to have contributions from all over. There are contributers from Canada, Europe and as well as ex-pats all over. We are about to have our first national homebrewers conference in October in Melbourne (details on the AHB site)

Second thoughts, I'll post them here:

Cheers

Well attending the first Australian National Homebrewers Conference sounds like a lot of fun!  I'll have to see if the Yeast Wranglers will pay to send us to that one!  (chuckle)

That's a nice club website you have Chris -- looks like a great bunch!

I, or someone else, will be sure to check the map at Bottlescrew Bills the next time we are in.  Cheers!
