I must say that I do love Wild Rose. Again, no butt kissing. I 'm currently on parental leave with my 11 month old daughter and the only decent place in town to go during the day and have a beer which also allows kids is WR. I'm not much on Brewsters quality of brew, but have been turned away many times during the day when we would have been the only people in the place (to enjoy some of their decent pub grub). we live in Killarney and only have one car (that my wife is currently using for work) which limits us to walking or transit. We've been to WR on the weekends (great service by all servers, guys and girl) and during the weekdays (great service by the black dude (thanks for letting my buddy try some of the beers before ordering as I think he indeed did think IPA meant Alex Keith;s) and kitchen staff (who always smile and wave to my daughter when she's grooving to Johnny Cash or no music on the weekends). After our visit today, my wife suggested that me and Nathalie come for some more lunches to support WR. Hopefully, the barley wine comes out soon (sorry I missed the Jan meeting of CYW, so i didn't get to try it).
Any CYW members who are open to lunch during the week (until the start of March), drop us an e-mail
Tom (and little Nathalie)
