Hi Doug -- you should have absolutely no problem leaving that beer in the secondary for a few weeks. Just keep the airlock on it and don't let it get too warm (19 degrees or below should be fine). Perhaps in that time you are waiting you could even add some dry hops to really improve the aroma!
Regarding the lager yeast, I don't think the SafLager 34-70 is really appropriate in either a Heiniken clone or a Steam Beer. The latter is a very specific yeast with a distinct fermentation profile and characteristics that is tough to substitute. And a Heineken clone needs a very clean fermenting lager yeast (the SafLager 34-70 is going to be too fruity and spicey for that, in my opinion).
