Im going to buy some pellet hops from Canada Malting. I'm putting this out there to see if anyone else is interested in collaberating on an order with me. Canada Malting sells hops for roughly $10/lb. Minimum 11lbs. the problem is I like using different hops from time to time! If I can collaberate with a few guys in the same boat we could each place an order for different types of hops and then divide in equal shares. the more guys in the more hop types we can get, so if we had 5 guys in we'd each have 11lbs of 5 different types of hops for the same price.

Let me know your thoughts and If your interested let me know.

If you're looking to buy hops in smaller batches, I (and some others I know) have had success with www.hopsdirect.com. You can buy them in amounts as small as a pound, which is far more realistic for the homebrewer. They have a pretty decent selection for decent prices (a pound of Willamette was around $4.95/pound! They go up from there to somewhere around $13.75 for the most expensive...). The shipping is really decent, and it took less than a week to get my last order. You should check it out!

None at all. Just ask them to ship USPS to save on the extra fees UPS is famous for.

I agree, Hops Direct is fantastic. They're flexible and will ship USPS if you ask them to.

I have ordered twice from hops direct, 2lbs and 4 lbs orders. They sent both shipments in the same sized box. Ordering 4lbs fills the shipping box completely. So in order to pay the least amount of shipping per ounce, order 4lbs at a time. On average, I think I paid about $1.25-$1.50 per ounce including the shipping.
