looking for a decent specialty place to pick up some copper and brass plumbin fittings that the big box places (Home despot, Rona, etc.) don't stock. Things like 3/8 copper sweat fittings, brass MFP to Garden Hose, maybe even a little stainless thrown in...

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Corey

for quality stainless products try swagelok --- (Calgary valve and fitting) . Gould stainless sells sanitary tubing and triclamp acessories , Pricy but good stuff . you can order swagelok fittings from e-bay for a lot cheaper. not sure about the copper, give calgary fasteners a try

Benner Plumbing on Edmonton trail just south of the Delta has a lot of odd ball parts. Fair pricing too.

Mike

For really hard to get stuff, Acklands-Grainger is very good (albeit pricey, sometimes). Just figure out what you need from their website (www.acklandsgrainger.com), make a list of parts numbers, then call it into their store. The website makes it sound like you have to be a commercial customer to place orders, but they happily do it by phone or in person. The Calgary shop to go to is in the the south, not far from The Vineyard.
