Registered members can attach files from your computer to your forum posts, including PDF files, Word documents, spreadsheets, etc. Note that the maximum file size is 2 MB.
Here are the instructions:
1. Compose your post in the text editor window.
2. Once you are finished, look in in the Attachments section immediately below the text editor window. If you don't see an Attachments section, then either you do not have appropriate permissions or that particular forum does not allow attachments (the Club Announcements forum does not, for example).
3. If you see the Attachments section, click on the Browse button to select a file to upload from your computer.
3. The File Upload window opens, allowing you to select a file from your local computer that will be uploaded to the web server. Select a file from your computer and click on the Open button.
4. IMPORTANT: Now you must click the Upload link that sits a little to the right of the Browse button in the Attachments section. If you don't do this, your file will not get uploaded to the server and will not be available from your post.
5. Note that for security reasons, not all file types are allowed to be uploaded to the server. You may receive a warning if you try to upload an unsupported file type. One option is to zip compress your file before uploading as zip files are considered a valid type.
6. Once your file is uploaded, it should appear in the list of Uploaded Attachments. (You may receive a cryptic message in red text if your file was too large -- i.e. larger than 2 MB).
7. You can attach more files using steps 3 - 6 above.
8. Once the post is complete, click the Submit link and your post should now appear with hyperlinks to the files you uploaded as attachments.
