Hi,

Not sure if anyone else here has had the pleasure of trying an Aussie brew by the Malt and Shovel brewery called James Squire Amber Ale... it is not, to my knowledge available in Canada. It has been 2 years since I drank that tasty brew.. so I need to make it myself :). Here is my recipe:

10 lbs Two-row

1 lbs Caramunich

.100 lbs CaraMunich

1.4 oz Willamette @ 60 mins

.6 Willamette @ 15 mins

American Ale yeast 1056.

I plan to do a single infusion mash at about 155 odd degrees F for an hour.

So how'd it turn out? I'm a big fan of red ambers, my go-to beer is Keith's Red Amber and I wish I could find somewhere to buy Alaskan Amber. I was given a recipe for that, it may well be my first-ever batch.
