Yes, I am one of those cheap online members. I will be happy to be a full member the first time that I am in Calgary on a meeting night (Calgary is 250 miles away). Meanwhile I am looking for some brewmeisters that do their own malting. There seems to be lots of help in malting pale malts and chrystals but how about Munich malt and some of the Bohemian malts? I have only drank one of my " own malt " beers and it was tremendous. I have three more on the go but only time will tell. If you have more experience than me I would love to hear from you. If you have less I would love to hear from you too. Maybe we can learn together. I have converted an old clothes dryer I salvaged from the dump into a malt dryer but maybe there is a better way. For those that want to tell me that it is not worth the effort; I already know that.
I think we all need to see a picture of the dryer....
Will do. I need to take the pictures, learn how to get them on my computer, learn how to post them and oh yes, borrow my wife's camera. I might need a day off work, which might be a few days. Stay in touch.
I finally have some pictures of my converted dryer. I took them too early in the morning so the shadows are a little bad. I transfered them to my computer but that is where I am stuck. If anyone is interested in seeing them, you will have to explain how to transfer them onto this site.
